What a takeover! Many thanks to the South Devon College Apprenticeship Team who made a greeat sucess of their takeover of TBF Breakfast Meeting in March as part of National Apprenticeship Week 2019. Over 30 apprentices from a wide variety of skills – catering, front of house, IT, marketing – took over the organisation and delivery of the breakfast event.
Expertly managed by the College’s Rachael Johnson and Emily Tucker, the logistical challenge began at 5.30am with apprentices being collected from their homes in time to set up for the 7.30am start.
The Rt Hons Anne Milton MP, Minister of State for Skills and Apprenticeships was the guest speaker before a panel of apprentices and local employers helped explain the apprenticeship process and recounted their experiences from both sides.
Thanks to local employers, Sherwoods, Ian Smith and Lucy Langdon from Source (SWW), the amazing apprentices, Rachael Johnstone, Emily Tucker, TDA Business Rebecca Davies and of course, 90 great delegates for supporting the event.
