…to the team at Inter-Line Building Supplies who were the guest speakers at the last Torbay Business Forum meeting on 4th July. 60 people came to the event to hear Neil Robinson, Scott Thomas and Steve Vincent  explain how the family-owned business has grown to a £17.5m turnover employing 100+ staff and what makes them tick.

The support Inter-Line give to local community groups and charities is amazing. They donate funds and supplies to many organisations including Rowcroft Hospice, RNLI Torbay, Play Torbay, Lifeworks Charity as well as sponsoring many of the local festivals and sports clubs.

As Neil said; “£1 earned locally is worth £4 to the local economy if we all shop, buy and support each other. The money is kept locally to help everyone”.

Inter-Line donated a fantastic drill set worth over £300 which to a free raffle for those attending the breakfast meeting. The lucky draw winner, Richard Burnet was delighted with his prize. Thanks to Amelia Mapley, South Devon College apprentice who pulled out the winning ticket.  Amelia has had a great work experience with Big Ant under the wing of Karen Lowrie.
