Big thanks to everyone who came to the March breakfast meeting to hear Martin Rogers talk about breaking new ground with the significant hotel investment which is taking place across the Bay over the next 2-3 years. Martin is a Chartered Surveyor and works closely with the Fragrance Group who are investing £150m into 4 new hotels – 2 in Paignton and 2 in Torquay.
As tourism is the lifeblood of Torbay, this investment is a major step forward in boosting the local economy, revitalising our accommodation offering and showcasing this beautiful Bay.
Martin was pleasantly surprised by the big attendance – 120 people versus the estimated 70. He jokingly said Steve Reynolds is ‘dead’ – hence the photo.
