Enjoy a 3 course meal including a Bays Brewery pint or a glass of wine at The Grand Hotel on Thursday 10th November. Regularly attracting over 200 business people, our Pie & Ale Evenings are fun, informative and great for networking. Our guest speaker is Phil Sampson, from Sampson Hall who will be asking ‘Is your business secure from cyber attacks?’’
An expert strategist with a deep understanding of Strategy, Leadership and Culture and how they influence organisations, Phil started his career with the Royal Marines in 1978 from Kenya, becoming a Commander on operations in Northern Ireland and at the Commando Training Centre. He was selected and attended Staff College at Camberley and is an Alumni of Ashridge having completed the MOD Senior Leadership Course.
As a counter terrorism expert, Phil served in Whitehall during the 9/11 attacks. He was later seconded to the Security Service playing a key role in founding the UK Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre, becoming the author of the National Security threat levels before working with the US National Counter Terrorist Centre. He later commanded the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines and Royal Marines Tyne.
After 30 years, Phil left the services and created Sampson Hall Ltd, using lessons drawn from the military, Government and business to deliver successful Strategy and Governance packages across 400 businesses – large and small, local and international, public and private sectors.
