In 2021 Brendon Prince will be undertaking the official world record attempt to circumnavigate mainland Britain by Stand Up Paddle Board. By being the first to ever complete this challenge, Brendon will also complete the world record for longest ever journey by SUP.
Adventures have been a big part of Brendon’s life, testing survival clothing in the freezing waters of Iceland, ice climbing in the Himalayas, Alps & Rockies or Kayaking the massive waters of the Indus. He is no stranger to the hardships of physical endurance either, having raised money by swimming, running, kayaking, SUPing & MTB in many unique events and activities.
As an off duty beach lifeguard, Brendon’s life was changed when he tried to rescue but lost 3 souls to drowning on the North Cornish coast. From that moment Brendon has engineered his life to provide water safety education for the children of this Island Nation. He is the chairman of a Surf Life Saving Club in Devon and formed the charity Above Water. In 2019 he gave up 25 years of teaching to devote his time to training teachers & pupils in water safety.
