The Bigwave Business Games, in association with Torbay Business Forum, are the largest event of its kind in the South West with some of the most influential businesses in the region taking part.
The 2023 Games will be bringing unrivalled fun, teamwork and networking opportunities to a diverse sector of businesses across Torbay.
They are made up of several physical, mental and social activities, designed to challenge competing teams as businesses battle it out to reach the top of the leader board. Events will include mini tennis, short mat bowls, an escape room and a pub quiz.
The games wouldn’t happen without the fantastic sponsors and wonderful event hosts who are all well-known local businesses including TLH Leisure Resort, Escape HQ, Torquay Tennis Club and Torbay Weekly.
The award ceremony will be held straight after the last event, the ever-popular pub quiz. The coveted Bigwave Business Games trophies will be presented for ‘Fair Play’, ‘Spirit of the Games’ and ‘Most Valuable Player’, as well as the overall winner.The Games are supporting a worthy local cause – Torbay Holiday Helpers’ Network which sends families who have children with serious illnesses, bereaved families who have children and families with children who have a terminally ill parent from all across the UK on free holidays.
The timetable for events is:
Thursday, May 25 – Short mat bowls at TLH Leisure Resort
Tuesday and Wednesday, June 6 and 7 – Escape Room at Escape HQ Torquay
Wednesday, June 14 – Mini tennis at Torquay Tennis Club
Tuesday June 20 – Pub quiz and prize giving at TLH Carlton.
The entry fee is £599 or all events and includes team T-shirts.
